Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Bridgwater (with flexibility to work from home - 1 day per week in the office)
Salary: Up to £39,000 + excellent benefits
Role type: Full-time, permanent

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a busy transactional finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the hands-on side of accounts payable and the leadership aspects of managing and developing a team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing the accounts payable process from start to finish (P2P).
  • Leading, coaching and developing a small team to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Reviewing team performance, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Handling supplier queries and building strong working relationships.
  • Keeping process documentation up to date and driving improvements.
  • Working closely with colleagues across finance and operations.
To be considered you will have:
  • Previous experience in a team leader or manager role within finance / accounts payable.
  • Strong understanding of P2P processes.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organised, accurate and able to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Comfortable managing people and improving performance.
