A primary school in Benwell Grange is on the lookout for a dynamic and adaptable Year 2 teacher to join their nurturing team this term. This isn’t just any teaching job, it’s a chance to play a meaningful part in children’s learning journeys, right at that crucial early stage.

You’ll be someone who lights up when children grasp a tricky concept or come out of their shell. You understand how to balance structure with fun, challenge with encouragement. You’re happy to follow the school’s trusted routines, but confident enough to flex when needed.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Bring a warm, engaging presence into the classroom

• Know how to support progress in phonics, writing, and maths

• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and your team

• Stay calm and constructive, even when things get a bit lively

• Love working collaboratively with other Year 2 staff and TAs

The Year 2 cohort is settled and curious, they just need the right guide to help them grow. You’ll have support from a well-established team, strong planning frameworks, and leadership that genuinely values its staff.
