This is your opportunity to join a forward-thinking procurement organisation. We're seeking a motivated Procurement Specialist with experience in indirect sourcing-specifically within the R&D domain-to join a dynamic, global procurement function that supports vital internal stakeholders.
Your new role
As a Procurement Specialist in Operations (Indirect) R&D, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and effective sourcing strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing sourcing activities, contracting, and supplier relationships across Indirect Procurement categories related to R&D.

Conducting market and internal analysis to inform procurement decisions.

Collaborating closely with stakeholders to align procurement solutions with business needs.

Driving content development and automation strategies that simplify and optimise buying experiences.

Supporting strategic procurement initiatives and project delivery.

You'll join a collaborative environment that values agility, expertise, and innovation. This is a 6-month temporary position, operating on a hybrid model (2 days per week on site in Welwyn Garden City).
What you'll need to succeed
Some previous experience in procurement, with a strong focus on indirect categories.

Demonstrable knowledge of operational procurement processes and procurement systems.

Experience managing simple to medium-complexity sourcing and contracting activities.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

A proactive mindset with a curiosity for continuous learning and operational improvement.

Fluency in English (business-level).
