A prominent NHS trust in the UK is seeking an Imaging Operational Manager based in Luton & Dunstable. The successful candidate will provide specialist radiographic expertise and manage the clinical and operational performance of Imaging Services. Following the reorganisation of the management team within Imaging across the Trust, an opportunity has arisen for the post of Imaging Operational Manager, based at the Luton & Dunstable site. Applications are invited from suitably experienced radiographers, to provide specialist radiographic expertise and to be responsible for the clinical and operational performance of Imaging Services on the L&D site.
In addition to leadership and management, the post holder will retain a practising knowledge of at least one modality and a radiography theoretical or practising knowledge in the other modalities.
The post holder will be responsible for the clinical and operational performance of Imaging Services within the Trust. The post holder will organise, direct and evaluate all aspects of the Imaging Service and deputise for the Senior Imaging Team as required.
The Imaging Operational Manager will provide specialist radiographic expertise and be responsible for the operational management of the imaging service. This will encompass Main & A&E X-Ray, CT, MRI, General and Maternity Ultrasound, DEXA scanning, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional and Cardiac Suites.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering Keogh standards for 7 day access to diagnostics and to support the Trust strategy to provide access to diagnostics at the time of need to deliver optimum hyper‑acute care.
The post holder will ensure compliance with clinical governance ensuring an effective framework is developed and will take part in any inspection requested by statutory bodies such as Health and Safety or CQC.
