Location: Croydon or home based with travel to other HCML offices

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join HCML's leadership team in the health and wellbeing sector. The CCO will play a crucial role in driving the commercial strategy of the organization, leading business development, sales, and marketing efforts to ensure sustained growth, profitability, and a strong market position. The role will also develop and manage HCML's customer propositions.
As a key member of the executive team, the CCO will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to establish strategic business goals, identify new revenue opportunities, and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires an individual who is passionate about improving health and wellbeing outcomes, is highly strategic, and has a proven track record in delivering commercial success within the healthcare, wellness, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Vision:
o Lead the development and execution of the company's commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and vision.
o Drive innovation and identify new commercial opportunities within the health and wellbeing market, including potential product/service offerings, partnerships, and acquisitions.
Sales & Business Development:
- Oversee and manage all commercial operations, including sales, pricing, business development, marketing, and customer engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across multiple channels.
- Develop and maintain HCML's customer propositions to ensure they remain industry leading.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
Marketing & Brand Strategy:
- Ensure that marketing efforts align with commercial objectives and reflect the company's mission, values, and customer-centric approach.
- Promote a consistent and compelling brand message across all customer touchpoints.
Financial Management & Performance:
- Develop and manage commercial budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and meeting revenue goals.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team across sales, business development, and marketing functions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:
- Act as a senior representative of the company in key industry events, conferences, and forums.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, industry influencers, and regulatory bodies.

Essential Skills
Key skills and experience:
- A relevant degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior commercial leadership role, ideally within the health and wellbeing, healthcare, or related industries.
- Strong background in sales, marketing, business development, and financial management.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on emerging market trends and business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and partners.
- Strong understanding of the UK health and wellbeing market, including trends, regulations, and customer needs.
