An exciting opportunity to drive educational improvement for Children and Young People in Wakefield.
Wakefield Council is proud of its established school improvement service, which sits in Wakefield Education Services a traded arm of the council offering a range of school improvement support and CPD across the district. We are looking for a talented school improvement lead to join the Service who can offer knowledge and experience of how schools can improve at pace and who have the credibility to engage with stakeholders and partners across the school system.
Principally focused on the Primary sector, this is a key role in the Education Strategy and Performance Service - you will be required to support and challenge leaders across the district, ensuring they achieve the very best for all learner’s, acting as the team lead for inclusion placing it at the heart of all we do. In turn you will be responsible for a thematic area of work and will support the delivery of a broad CPD Programme as well as working with the Head of Service on bespoke projects.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter who is ready to embrace forthcoming change of a new national curriculum and Ofsted Framework that is able to monitor, challenge, support problem solve and empower school leaders to deliver high quality provision for all pupils within schools, as well as deepen accountable partnerships, drawing on their collective expertise and combined resources to enable all pupils to achieve their potential and ambitions.
