- One year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant.
- Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.
- Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.
- Inform the Chef / Kitchen Manager of any shortages before the item runs out.
Skills
- Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools equipment and supplies.
- Check production schedule and pars.
- Establish priority items for the day.
- Inform the Chef / Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the days tasks.
- Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
- Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day.
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.
- Inform the Chef / Kitchen Mgr. of any shortages before the item runs out.
- Inform F&B service staff of 86d items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period.
- One Year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
- Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire
- Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance
- Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
