Job summary
A care home service provider in Hoddesdon seeks a Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations. Chef Manager - Hoddesdon Care Home Hours: 37 per week (including weekends on a rota, with alternate weekends off)

- Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals for residents.
- Cater for special dietary requirements where necessary.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and food hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Work with the Home Manager to plan balanced, nutritious menus using fresh ingredients.
- Manage weekly stock ordering and control.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures within defined timescales.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and well maintained daily.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
- Previous experience working in a catering environment (care sector experience desirable).
- Food Hygiene Certificate and/or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) - essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
- Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced disclosure (DBS).
