Position: Engineering Manager
Location: Shepherds Bush
Salary: £65,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients for an Engineering Manager at a prestigious site in Shepherds Bush. The role involves leading a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and providing technical support and mentoring. The successful candidate will support the Key Account Manager in daily tasks with reliability, flexibility, and professionalism, and assist Contract Managers and Contract Support with proactive and reactive tasks.
Duties include:
- Ensure statutory testing checks are carried out, updated, and logged in Logbooks.
- Monitor and control PPM and reactive statistics via eLogbook system and produce reports.
- Produce monthly reports and collate minutes of meetings with action items.
- Create energy reports for the customer.
- Oversee receipt of statutory certifications and ensure availability upon request.
- Attend designated meetings by the Key Account Manager.
- Monitor and control staff training via the Training Matrix.
- Administer monthly team briefings and toolbox talks.
- Conduct monthly QHSE site audits.
- Produce quotations.
- Manage the team according to procedures and policies, ensuring wellbeing and H&S compliance.
- Ensure efficient repair of site M&E equipment and services.
- Prioritize and delegate reactive maintenance tasks to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Control the Weekly Engineering Planner and communicate with customers regarding staffing issues.
- Monitor subcontractor performance against contracts and report issues.
- Utilize Help Desk systems to monitor SLAs and staff performance.
- Monitor utility usage and report anomalies or savings to the client.
- Manage critical engineering infrastructure and compile risk registers.
- Ensure maintenance of critical equipment as per requirements.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation or recognized equivalent
- BS7671 18th Edition Electrical Standards
- C&G2391 Inspection and Testing
- Experience with Critical Data Centres or Banking Sites
- HV & LV AP experience/appointment
- C&G Mechanical & HVAC qualifications
- Knowledge of current standards for Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, COSHH Electrical Services, HV & AC, Water Systems Treatment
- Understanding of business-critical services such as UPS and MGPS
- Full understanding of statutory compliance requirements
