About Unity:
Unity Empower provides support and development service to adults (16+) who are living with a learning disability or have additional support needs. They offer day services where people will be supported to learn a variety of independent living skills. The service assists with employment opportunities through the catering options training programme. The service works in line with the themes of the Keys to life learning Disability Strategy and covers aspects including health, travel, literacy and community inclusion.
Role Purpose:
The coach supports individuals with learning disabilities and autism in developing vocational skills and gaining work experience through structured internships. The coach helps interns develop essential workplace skills, build confidence and achieve successful long-term employment outcomes. They are also responsible for collaborating with the other Project SEARCH partners and stakeholders, as well as potential future employers.
