Join our team at Barking garage as a Deputy Engineering Manager, working for a sustainable, diverse, and community-focused employer that prioritizes its people while delivering contracted bus services for Transport for London.

Approx £65,295 per annum including a shift allowance.

As part of our professional engineering management team, you will assist the Engineering Manager in the daily management of the engineering functions at our Barking garage in East London. Your key responsibilities include maintaining our fleet of buses to the standards required by the Company, TfL, and the DVSA, and influencing Health & Safety compliance, fatigue management, and employee wellbeing.

• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance for large vehicles, preferably PCVs.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, bodywork construction, and basic stores procedures.
• Ability to obtain a Transport CPC if required.
• Strong planning, prioritization, analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Up-to-date understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Our garage operates a diverse range of buses, including electric and mirrorless models, serving East London. Your role will be crucial in ensuring these vehicles are well-maintained to serve the community reliably.
