  • Collaborate with operations to prioritize engineering workload.
  • Monitor KPIs to ensure engineering and production efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Site Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in driving continuous improvement across equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. This is a pivotal leadership role within our Moreton site, offering the opportunity to shape long-term engineering strategy and contribute to our broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a 5-year maintenance strategy aligned with site and business objectives.
  2. Lead capital planning and manage engineering budgets, including energy and utilities.
  3. Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, health & safety legislation, and facilities management.
  4. Drive a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  5. Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a high-performance team culture.
  6. Collaborate with operations to prioritise engineering workload and select modern equipment.
  7. Represent the site at trade fairs and exhibitions to stay abreast of automation advancements.
  8. Monitor KPIs to ensure engineering and production efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • BEng Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG engineering management.
  • Proven leadership in a trade union environment, managing teams of 50+.
  • Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated success in improving equipment availability and performance.
