Senior Software Engineer (UK Remote)

£70,000 – £80,000

My client, a mission-driven professional development organisation, is scaling rapidly and seeking a versatile Software Engineer. This role involves maintaining and stabilising their existing PHP and Golang platform on AWS, while also contributing to an upcoming modern technology rewrite.

We’re looking for a UK-based engineer comfortable with a polyglot mindset, strong SQL skills, and AWS experience. Startup/scaleup experience and strong collaboration skills are also key.

Key Responsibilities:

– Maintain and improve existing PHP/Golang/AWS systems.

– Contribute to a future rewrite to modern architecture.

– Work across various technologies (polyglot mindset).

– Optimise databases and SQL queries.

– Collaborate within a small engineering team.

– Ensure code quality and best practices.

– Provide second-line production support.

Selection Process:

– Initial call with Director of Technology.

– Technical Panel Interview (coding/whiteboarding challenge).

– Final Discussion with team members.
