Job description
Senior Autism Assessor for CYP (ADOS +/- ADIR trained) - Remote

Please submit your application directly through our website: https://grnh.se/bmw90s62teu

We are looking for ADOS trained clinicians who will work as a member of a multidisciplinary assessment team, delivering:

  • Remote child observations (via video calls), if you have the relevant skills
  • Peer MDT diagnostic decision‑making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
  • Tech‑enabled outcome report writing
  • Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)
Main duties of the job
  • Remote child observations (via video calls), if you have the relevant skills
  • Peer MDT diagnostic decision‑making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
  • Tech‑enabled outcome report writing
  • Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.

About us

Palomas mission is to make childrens autism and ADHD assessments and care available on the NHS within 4 weeks of GP referral. We are making this happen by redesigning care pathways, building new software & AI tools, and training up a specialist clinical workforce.

Mark & Darshak founded Paloma as they were frustrated that families are waiting 2-10 years for NHS childrens autism and ADHD assessments. Learn more about the crisis in NHS childrens neurodevelopmental services from this Childrens Commissioner for England here: https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/childrens-commissioner-warns-of-invisible-crisis-as-delays-and-inequalities-laid-bare-among-children-with-neurodevelopmental-conditions/

Job responsibilities

Senior Autism Assessor for Children and Young People (Employed)

Time commitment: Full-time employment is preferred, though we can also offer part-time (minimum of 3 days per week for HCPC, NMC, and Social Work England registered professionals, and a minimum of 2 days per week for GMC registered professionals).

Location: This is a fully remote role; however, you must permanently reside in the UK throughout your employment with Paloma.

Reporting to: Autism Service Team Manager.
