Une start-up innovante dans le domaine des thérapies biotechnologiques cherche un Manager de Projets Scientifiques pour superviser des projets de recherche dans les domaines des maladies rares, oncologie et immunologie. Ce poste hybride offre la possibilité de travailler à distance tout en collaborant avec une équipe multidisciplinaire. Le candidat idéal possède un PhD et une expérience significative dans la gestion de projets en milieu industriel, avec une maîtrise des outils de gestion de projet.

Qualifications

  • PhD requis, expérience en gestion de projets de découverte de médicaments.
  • Connaissance des workflows de recherche en médicaments et expérience en thérapie cellulaire souhaitées.
  • Compétences avérées en gestion de budget et reporting.

Responsabilités

  • Assurer la gestion des projets de recherche avec des partenaires externes.
  • Évaluer les performances budgétaires et gérer les déviations.
  • Coordonner les équipes d'étude et communiquer le statut des projets aux parties prenantes.

Description du poste

Argobio is a Start-Up Studio dedicated to novel therapeutics aiming to nurture and launch breakthrough Biotech companies. Argobio sources innovative early-stage projects from renowned European academic research institutions. The focus is on selected therapeutic areas, including rare diseases, neurological disorders, oncology, and immunology. The studio will also look to develop promising platform technologies for therapeutic products. One of our portfolio companies, Thesian Bio developing in vivo CAR T therapies, is looking for a full-time remote Project Manager.

Role Summary

The Scientific Project Manager (SPM) will manage external contract partners to achieve research project goals within specified timelines and budgets. The SPM will coordinate and facilitate the research project management life cycle, including initiation, development, and implementation, management and successful completion of research projects through contract partners. The SPM will coordinate study teams, and manage research project timelines and budgets, and ensure there is excellent and timely communication with key stakeholders throughout the project. Successful candidates will possess advanced program and project management skills, strong analytical abilities, and familiarity with research discovery and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure project progress through structured planning, risk assessment, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Development and monitoring of project plans, budget and schedule, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and scientific feasibility.
  • Management of deviations from the plan and budget, proposing solutions to correct the track
  • Manage outsourcing projects with CROs, optimize vendor selection, review quotes, proposals, and data reports
  • Organize team meetings and meeting minutes, allowing effective meetings and with clear decisions and follow up actions
  • Communicate project and budget status of team, ensuring clarity in project updates, key recommendations, to support strategic discussions.
  • Work closely with Scientific Director and Project Lead, in day-to-day operations and coordinate with other team members for alignment of project goals and expectations

Qualifications

  • PhD in life science, chemistry, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working in drug discovery projects in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of drug discovery workflows, including early-stage research, lead optimization and preclinical development.
  • Experience from work with cell and gene therapy is a plus.
  • Experience with oncology and immunology indications is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, balancing scientific opportunities with practical execution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams / Excel / PowerPoint, Project or similar Gantt charting tool.
  • Well-organized and solution-oriented, with a keen ability to prioritize and drive projects forward.
  • Comfortable navigating multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Experienced in stakeholder management, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between internal teams and external partners.
  • Clear and efficient communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experienced in managing budget and reporting to financial department
