The Sr. Manager, Business Services is responsible for office management, facility management, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), car fleet management, supporting the enterprise CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) on activities related to facilities and fleet, and reception management for Alexion's Munich site in Germany. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and vendors both nationally and internationally. A positive can-do attitude is essential, as tasks are multifaceted and involve multiple levels of interaction.

This position is newly established, offering the opportunity to develop this function in partnership with the Head of Business Services.

1. Create the Business Services function covering Facility Management, Fleet Management, and SHE
2. Manage 1 direct report (receptionist) and the ISS team
3. Facility Management:
   • Ensure smooth and safe workflow at the Munich Office, including relocation to a newly renovated space in March
   • Fulfill operator responsibilities (Betreiber-Verantworlichkeit)
   • Control service providers
   • Oversee professional operation of the reception
   • Manage ISS team (second receptionist, day porter, cleaning services)
4. SHE Responsibilities:
   • Ensure compliance with statutory occupational safety requirements
   • Utilize the global SHE reporting system
   • Manage external functions such as the Company Doctor and Safety Specialists
   • Participate as a member of the Global SHE team
5. Mobility:
   • Support from an external fleet manager
   • Supervise the German car fleet, with a transition to e-mobility by the end of 2025
   • Manage leasing, rental, and insurance suppliers
   • Coordinate driver safety training and campaigns

• Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification
• Several years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong leadership, reliability, resilience, business acumen, and service orientation
• Teamwork skills with a positive attitude
• Independent, structured, and precise working style
• Fluent in German and business English
• Experience in fleet management

• Experience with office fitouts
• Knowledge in SHE management
• Experience managing a reception desk
