Purpose : The Production Control Manager oversees production control functions, including Master Schedule, work order management, planning, and reporting, for Army Prepositioned Stocks 2 (APS2) sites in Europe. This role supervises GCSS-A Production Control Systems and collaborates with the Operations Manager. The manager interfaces with the Project Manager, Government Site Manager, contracting officials, and subordinate managers/technicians to monitor work progress, material availability, and address production issues, ensuring resource availability. The position also manages production planning for various IT systems such as Army Logistic Information Systems (LIS), Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), GCSS-Army, and Army Unit Readiness Reporting (USR).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supervise Production Control and GCSS-A clerks, ensuring accurate reporting of repaired and serviced equipment for readiness and records.
• Manage all aspects of production and material control, ensuring efficient operations.
• Oversee the use of GCSS-A to meet maintenance missions.
• Coordinate activities within production planning and material control departments.
• Establish production sequences and schedules for equipment and personnel to meet requirements.
• Develop and control production schedules, advising on capacity to support delivery timelines.
• Adjust schedules for special requests or emergencies, establishing operational priorities as needed.
• Coordinate material movement between inventories and production areas.
• Supervise inventory management, ensuring raw materials and components meet production needs based on specifications.
• Confirm material supply and demand requirements.
• Manage labor resources and capacity planning based on engineering and production specifications.
• Maintain master schedules, resolving conflicts between labor, material, and project timelines.
• Provide management with updates on work progress, material status, and production issues.
• Assist in make-or-buy decisions based on scheduling and delivery constraints.
• Identify opportunities for new business through existing or new projects.
• Resolve operational issues promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR
• Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR
• Major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR
• 11 years of recent specialized experience.

Additional requirements include tactical supply and maintenance systems training, GCSS-A Warehouse and Materiel Management Course, ability to handle classified items, operate government vehicles, and obtain SECRET security clearance.
