As an HR Generalist (m/f/d), you will play a key role in building our HR structures in Germany, with a particular focus on internal HR topics and recruitment. You will report directly to our HR Director and be responsible for the operational implementation of local and global HR processes, employee support, and ensuring legal compliance. In your first year, you will also be actively involved in recruitment to support our team’s growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as our local point of contact for employees on all HR topics, policies, benefits, professional development, etc., on-site.
  • Implement and manage core HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and personnel records.
  • Assist with organizing and supporting the recruitment process (job postings, screening, interviews, feedback, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws under German legislation.
  • Act as the point of contact for benefits, payroll, and compensation structures.
  • Contribute to training and development opportunities for employees.
  • Support performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback processes.
  • Champion company culture as our on-site “Culture Ambassador” and drive initiatives for employee satisfaction, engagement, and company culture.
  • Prepare HR reports and key metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

What You Should Bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in an internal HR role.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • A completed degree, ideally in HR or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law and HR compliance.
  • Confident in handling data and analytical evaluations.
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Discreet and professional handling of sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Organizational talent, multitasking ability, and a high degree of personal responsibility.
  • Cultural sensitivity and openness to working in a diverse, global team.
