Required
The incumbent is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing, and maintaining business relationships with a clientele primarily composed of small organizations in the agricultural sector. The goal is to promote and sell products and services to grow the centre’s business. They use their technical business knowledge and understanding of applicable procedures, standards, and guidelines to represent, negotiate, and engage companies, with moderate impact on the business centre. They ensure balance between sales objectives, prudent risk management, portfolio profitability, and satisfaction of members, clients, and partners.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, develop, and maintain personalized business relationships with current and potential clients to promote and sell Desjardins' products and services.
- Serve as an account manager, acting as an intermediary between the business centre and members/clients. Ensure proper usage, satisfaction, and update of products/services, analyze dissatisfaction sources, and recommend solutions.
- Identify and analyze member and client needs, develop personalized solutions, and negotiate conditions.
- Recommend strategies to increase business volume, manage risks, improve portfolio profitability, and strengthen relationships.
- Use intelligence to identify business development opportunities to enhance competitiveness.
- Participate in promotional activities, public relations, and engage with the business community.
- Attend to client/member needs, seize opportunities, and refer them to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Adhere to policies, standards, and laws governing financial product distribution, and ensure sound risk management for portfolios.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience (other combinations of qualifications may be considered)
- Knowledge of French required
- Understanding of financial, economic, policy, and legislative developments
- Knowledge of agricultural markets, credit risk, loan and guarantee contracts, and business financing practices
- Familiarity with policies, legislation, standards, and Desjardins processes
- Effective communication skills, results-driven, interpersonal savvy
