Job summary
A leading technology firm in Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the health and performance of production services. The role involves defining SLOs, automating operations, and leading incident responses. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in SRE, strong skills in AWS and Kubernetes, and a passion for operational excellence. Remote work options are available across Canada.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency with AWS and Kubernetes, especially in observability and auto-scaling.
- Strong software development skills in a language like Python or Go.
Responsibilities
- Define, measure, and report on Service Level Objectives and Indicators.
- Partner with development teams for operational consequences of their actions.
- Write software to automate production operations.
- Lead incident response processes for complex outages.
- Improve deployment systems and CI/CD pipelines.
