Job summary

A leading tourism operator in Jasper, Alberta is seeking a Guest Experience Agent to provide exceptional service and create memorable experiences for visitors. Pursuit Collection • Jasper, AB

The Guest Experience Department principally assists all guests by providing information on Columbia Icefield and Pursuit, services and amenities; by promoting and selling all of our related products and services, and ensuring a seamless experience for guests throughout their experience.

Guest Experience Agents come across thousands of guests a day from all over the world, so being upbeat and professional while up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts and promotions is key. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position. This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that your working week may vary.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $18.00 per hour.

Work schedule: This is a fukl-time seasonal position beginning immediately and running until October 18, 2025.

What will you do in this job?

  • Direct guests through parking and arrival areas while giving a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC).
  • Educate guests on Pursuit Attractions and guide them through the purchasing process.
  • Provide guests information on the local area.
  • Assist with tour group check-in, and coordinate with Dispatch regarding any changes.
  • Ticket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk tours.
  • Loading and coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency, including responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms.
  • Communicate with co-workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashion.
  • Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position.
  • Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment.
  • Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset.
  • Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
  • Ability to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitude.
  • Second language is an asset.
  • Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated.
  • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills an asset.
  • Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Be prepared for all-season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail).
  • Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards.

  • Standard First-Aid or higher an asset.
