About the Team

Lead an experienced dedicated team based in London with a focus on Demand Generation. You will marshal and align team members with separate reporting lines including communications, digital content, and customer advocacy.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Senior Marketing Director to lead the company’s marketing efforts across the UK & I (UK&I). This senior position offers the opportunity to lead Europe’s largest region for a rapidly growing US-based software company. You will work with Marketing, Sales, and Professional Services to build brand awareness and pipeline, leading a team of marketing professionals across UK&I and contributing to the UKI and EMEA leadership teams. This position is located in London.

Responsibilities
  • Develop annual marketing plans for the region designed to drive brand recognition and build pipeline for Workday’s core solutions.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the UKI Management teams, aligning with the sales team on regular planning, execution, and open communication.
  • Ensure flawless execution across all planned marketing activities by coordinating key team members to drive outcomes for the UKI business.
  • Identify audience and industry segmentation strategy, vehicle and media mix recommendations, timing, and forecast of results.
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with a cross-functional corporate marketing team in EMEA and the US, including demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications, and creative services.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales operations, and strategy to develop messaging platforms, content, and stories for campaigns.
  • Manage and develop the UK&I local marketing team.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend optimizations and future enhancements.
  • Assess and execute partner marketing opportunities.
About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience leading marketing in a high-growth, cloud-native SaaS company as UK/I marketing leader or currently leading field marketing for another region.
  • 15+ years of successful marketing experience in a SaaS enterprise software/cloud environment.
  • Proven track record of building and leading teams at Director and Sr Director levels.
  • Knowledge of the local UK/I B2B enterprise software market, preferably HR and/or Financial applications.

Other Qualifications

  • Willing to travel within EMEA and to HQ in the USA occasionally.

  • Proven ability to execute integrated marketing programs that drive pipeline, including industry-specific campaigns.
  • Ability to craft Workday messaging relevant to UK audiences and to emphasize customer voice across the marketing mix.
  • Experience delivering world-class creative events as part of a Demand Plan, and ability to work with executives, sales, and marketing.
  • Experience engaging C-level audiences and implementing effective social media programs in a B2B context.
Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work we combine in-person time and remote work. The approach enables teams to deepen connections and maintain a strong community. Rather than a fixed set of in-office days, we require at least 50% of time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, depending on role. Remote roles may also gather in offices for important moments.
