Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the total delivery of projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule compliance. This position is based in Port Hope, with travel to project sites required.
What You Will Be Doing:
Opportunity Management and Response
- Support and identify business development opportunities for new projects.
- Lead proposal responses to clients with support from marketing and team members.
Pre-Construction Management
- Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Ensure contracts are issued according to schedule.
- Coordinate cost code allocations and hold financial start-up meetings.
- Set up projects, including administration, document control, and planning activities.
- Support estimating during cost planning and tenders.
Construction Management
- Implement quality management programs.
- Support site productivity and conduct start-up meetings.
- Review drawings, submissions, and RFIs for compliance.
- Ensure safety regulations and standards are followed.
- Manage schedules, monitor progress, and hold progress meetings.
- Handle financial management, including billing, invoicing, and payments.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure project documentation is up-to-date.
Post-Construction Management
- Oversee deficiencies and warranty issues.
- Ensure project completion and conduct close-out meetings.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree in engineering or construction management.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in industrial projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project/Primavera P6, SAP, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
