Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Our services include emergency care, orthopedics, ophthalmology, dialysis, and mental health programs, serving 45,000 patients annually. The Health Records Department is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Health Records Technician to join our team. Effective Date: As soon as possible.

• Graduate of a recognized Health Information Management program
• Active member in good standing with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (mandatory)
• Thorough knowledge of privacy legislation including PHIPA, PHA, and MHA
• Minimum one year coding/abstracting experience
• Experience with ICD-10-CA/CCI coding and familiarity with MED2020 software is an asset
• Proficient in Windows-based applications and patient information systems such as Winrecs, EPIC
• Knowledge of Health Based Allocation Model (HBAM) and Health System Funding Reform (HSFR) is an asset
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Physical ability to meet job demands

• Training in EPIC or successful completion of related training and testing

Four 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday. Shifts may vary per departmental needs and CUPE Collective Agreement.
