A leading telecommunications company is seeking a Senior Account Executive for the Middle East & North Africa region, focused on driving sales and managing telecom accounts. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the telecom industry, with a strong understanding of international connectivity and DICT solutions. This role requires excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, alongside technical proficiency in Microsoft tools.

Overview

Senior Account Executive — Middle East & North Africa Region, UAE

Responsibilities
  • Job Purpose: Drive the sales of China Mobile International (CMI) products, such as international wholesale connectivity, IP transit, DICT, Cloud, IoT, ICT, and 5G solutions to telecom operators and carriers in the MENA region (e.g., UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar).
  • Manage existing carrier / operator accounts and oversee daily operations within the GCC region.
  • Develop and execute strategies to promote and sell CMI’s product portfolio: international wholesale connectivity, DICT (Data Center, Internet, Cloud & Transmission), IP transit, Cloud, IoT, ICT, and 5G solutions.
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate new business opportunities with operators across MENA.
  • Handle documentation processes, including agreements, MoUs, RFPs, and order forms.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams (regional / HQ) for pricing, technical, and solution design support.
  • Lead end-to-end processes for onboarding, new orders, and renewals.
  • Collaborate closely with the UAE team and the MENA regional office to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and performance updates for management.
Qualifications
  • Job Requirements
  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the telecom industry, with at least 2 years of DICT sales experience to telecom operators in MENA.
  • Experience with wholesale connectivity is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international wholesale connectivity, DICT, Cloud, IP Transit, IoT, ICT, and 5G products.
  • Well-established network within carrier, network, and procurement teams across telecom operators in the GCC region.
  • Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Arabic or Chinese language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, results-driven, and an excellent team player.
  • Candidates with less experience would be considered for junior positions.
