A Food and Beverage Supervisor at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is responsible for supervising operations of Food and Beverage outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while working with the team to ensure departmental targets are met.

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising operations of Food and Beverage outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Food and Beverage Supervisor will also be required to communicate and delegate tasks to the team to ensure departmental targets are achieved. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Supervise the daily operations of the outlet and ensure a friendly, courteous and consistent exceptional service to all guests.
• Supervise the runners, waiters and Head waiters in the daily operations.
• Support delivery of guest service on the floor in highly efficient and effective manner.
• Ensure that all standards in terms of service, food presentation and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• Be fully knowledgeable of the food & beverage menu and be able to provide detailed information (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
• Arrange tables by setting up linens, cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. and maintain a tidy dining area.
• Check guest’s ID if necessary to assure they are of legal drinking age.
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using the order pads, the POS ordering software and communicating order details to the kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow up on guests’ experience to ensure the guests are enjoying their meals and to be able to correct any issues or complaints in an efficient manner, if any.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
• Attend all daily briefings and mandatory trainings.
• Assisting the Restaurant Manager and the Assistant Restaurant Manager as requested throughout the daily operations.
• Guide other team members and train new joiners by monitoring their productivity and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain good working relationship with team members in all departments.
• Ensure a high level of communication and teamwork at all times.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience in luxury hotel industry

Previous experience in supervising of at least 1 year
