The Supply Chain Consultant provides expert advisory services to organizations seeking to optimize their end-to-end supply chain operations. This role analyzes existing processes, identifies inefficiencies, and delivers data-driven solutions to improve cost efficiency, resilience, and performance across procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Diagnostic & Strategy Development
- Conduct supply chain assessments (maturity evaluations, gap analyses, benchmarking).
- Identify pain points in procurement, warehousing, transportation, or demand planning.
- Develop customized improvement roadmaps aligned with business goals.
2. Process Optimization
- Redesign supply chain networks for cost / time reduction (DC locations, transport modes).
- Implement lean / Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste in workflows.
- Advise on digital transformation (ERP, IoT, AI-driven forecasting tools).
- Recommend and configure supply chain software (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).
- Lead system integration projects (WMS, TMS, demand planning tools).
- Train client teams on analytics dashboards (Power BI, Tableau).
4. Risk & Sustainability Consulting
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations (customs, sanctions, ESG standards).
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Present findings / recommendations to C-level executives and operational teams.
- Facilitate change management to drive adoption of new processes.
- Provide post-implementation support and performance tracking.
Technical Skills
- End-to-End Supply Chain Expertise – Procurement, logistics, inventory, planning
- Data Analytics – SQL, Python (for advanced modeling), Power BI
- ERP / SCM Software – SAP, Oracle, JDA, or similar
- Process Improvement – Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Project Management – Agile, Scrum, PMP methodologies

Qualifications & Experience :
Education :
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or Industrial Engineering
- Certifications (Required) :
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) – APICS
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
Experience :
- 5+ years in supply chain consulting or 8+ years in operational supply chain leadership .
- Proven track record of delivering 15–30% cost / logistics improvements for clients.
- Industry specialization (e.g., pharma, automotive, retail ) is a plus.
