Job summary
A leading IT recruitment firm in Cape Town is looking for a Support Engineer to provide application and system support. The role includes troubleshooting and resolving issues, performing maintenance, and collaborating across teams to ensure high service quality. Qualifications

- Provide day-to-day application and system support.
- Analyse, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues.
- Take ownership of incidents and see them through to resolution.
- Perform preventative and routine system maintenance.
- Monitor systems and processes and identify gaps in monitoring.
- Escalate unresolved issues according to defined procedures.
- Maintain accurate incident records, reports, and knowledge base updates.
- Participate in standby/on-call support and production deployments.
- Assist with deployments of new services and system enhancements.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
- Mentor and assist junior support engineers.

Key Responsibilities
