Job description

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The successful candidate will be expected, among others to:

• Provide input into the development of the security business strategy and plan that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
• Provide input into the development, implementation and annual review of an overall strategic plan for the Security Unit.
• Oversee and guide the implementation of the security plan as approved, including as appropriate any special tasks or projects requested by management.
• Provide technical advice on requirements and specifications for strengthening existing and new building security systems.
• Oversee the supervision of outsourced security personnel to ensure compliance with all security procedures in place and maintain a high standard of physical security.
• Ensure the administration of vetting applications.
• Monitor and evaluate security service provider contracted by the Agency.
• Ensure that regular inspections are conducted.
• Ensure security investigations are conducted in line with prescribed legislation and security breaches are managed accordingly.
• Oversee the development of controls to prevent unauthorised access and dealing with events threatening the security of the site.
• Liaise regularly with National Intelligence and State Security Agencies
