Job summary
A higher education institution in South Africa is seeking a Team Manager to lead and develop a team of sales consultants. The role involves managing daily operations, achieving sales KPIs, and ensuring compliance. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of team management experience in a sales environment, preferably within financial services.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ team management experience in a sales environment.
- Practical experience of IR processes.
- Financial Services experience, particularly in long-term insurance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage & motivate a team of sales consultants.
- Set, monitor & drive weekly/monthly sales targets.
- Manage performance, quality, productivity & development.
- Coach, develop, train new and existing consultants.
- Ensure strict compliance and adherence to call structure, QA & legislation.

Education
The Team Manager will lead, coach, develop, and drive the performance of a team of Sales Consultants. This role is responsible for daily operational management, performance delivery, compliance adherence, culture building, staff development, and ensuring achievement of sales KPI's
- Lead, manage & motivate a team of sales consultants.
- Set, monitor & drive weekly / monthly sales targets.
- Manage performance, quality, productivity & development.
- Coach, develop, vest & train new and existing consultants.
- Manage capacity, attendance, IR issues, absenteeism, disciplinary matters.
- Ensure strict compliance and adherence to call structure, QA & legislation.
- Deliver on active campaigns and project-based targets.
- Matric (or equivalent qualification)
- Practical experience of IR processes
- Minimum of 3 years’ team management experience in a sales environment
- Financial Services experience (Long-term insurance and within a sales-oriented environment)
