WELCOME TO MOYO Mid-Level C&I Project Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join us in driving significance together.

The C&I Engineer will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of several projects with specified deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control and instrumentation systems for mining and processing operations. This role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and optimization of control systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. The engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and plant operations teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Relevant degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

• 8 - 10 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering.
• Extensive experience in mining and processing plant environments.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale C&I projects.
• Project Management
• Proficiency in control system design and programming (e.g., PLC, DCS, SCADA systems).
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation selection, installation, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and IEEE.

The C&I Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

• Select appropriate instrumentation and control equipment based on project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Develop and review control and instrumentation system designs, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), control philosophies, and system architectures.

• Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation.
• Conduct site inspections and tests to verify system performance and compliance with design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for control systems and instrumentation.
• Analyse system performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Provide technical support and training to plant operations and maintenance personnel.

• Ensure all control and instrumentation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety audits and incident investigations related to control systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for C&I systems.
