The Contract Logistics Manager is accountable for leading directing and managing multiple site operations to ensure consistent high level service quality and client satisfaction profitable cost efficient operations and compliance with company policies and procedures and other regulatory guidelines.

Also responsible for driving continuous improvement through operational areas. Will manage and coordinate all quality and inspection processes within our service center. Reviews operating budgets for revenues and expenses and monitors compliance to contracts.

• Lead direct and manage site operations to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at or above the clients standards.
• Maximize profitability through superior client service effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.
• Make suggestions identify opportunities and show initiative for process improvement
• Develops and validates quality processes and ensures compliance with client requirements
• Assess current processes and standard work flows to identify process improvement opportunities utilizing organizational analytical Lean and six sigma problem solving methodologies.
• Responsible to formulate and update work instructions and procedures of our inspection handling and crating operations
• Manages maintains and reviews internal process quality by training auditing observing monitoring client feedback and performance measurement
• Continuously review quality processes procedures and capabilities in order to sustain the most cost effective and efficient methods for meeting quality requirements
• Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives.
• Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints.
• Responsible to train develop and motivate employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities
• Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing budget preparation and review financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Position may require extended periods of sitting computer use standing and walking.
• Some light lifting may be required in some instances
• Talking hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard mouse and other computer components
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and prioritization required.
• Strong client facing skills and effective selling to an executive owner and / or decision maker with a consultative approach.
• Strong entrepreneurial experience and goal-driven focus.
• Ability to analyze and interpret highly complex regulations and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and at times under high pressure
• Ability to plan organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
• Dependable follows instructions and responds to management direction but can work independently.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients and employees.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate is required;
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• 8 -10 or more years contract logistics / national warehousing and distribution related experience required.

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
