A cybersecurity consulting firm is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to identify and close new business opportunities. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in cybersecurity sales and the ability to build strong relationships with prospective clients. This role requires strong negotiation, presentation, and lead generation skills, as well as experience with CRM systems. A bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license are also required.
MUST HAVE CYBER SECURITY SALES EXPERIENCE (NON NEGOTIABLE) The Business Development Manager (BDM) / Sales Hunter is a critical role focused on aggressively identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities for comprehensive portfolio of cybersecurity consulting and managed security services.
This individual will be responsible for generating new leads, building relationships with prospective Customers, understanding their cybersecurity needs, and effectively presenting and selling our solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, results-oriented "hunter" with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment, ideally within the technology or cybersecurity sector in South Africa.
This role reports directly to the Head of Sales.
MUST HAVE Cybersecurity Solutions and Services Sales Experience (NON NEGOTIABLE) : Develop and maintain a deep understanding of (Company Name)'s entire portfolio of cybersecurity consulting and managed security services.
Articulate the value proposition of our solutions effectively, tailoring presentations and proposals to address specific client needs and pain points.
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulations relevant to the South African market.Sales Presentations and Proposals : Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective Customers, clearly demonstrating the benefits and ROI of (Company Name)'s offerings.
Effectively address client objections and negotiate terms to close deals.Relationship Building with Prospects : Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
Establish trust and credibility as a cybersecurity advisor.Collaboration with Internal Teams : Work closely with technical specialists, solution architects, and service delivery teams to develop tailored solutions for prospective Customers.
Collaborate with marketing on lead generation campaigns and sales enablement materials.Achieving Sales Targets : Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals for new business acquisition.Sales Forecasting and Reporting : Develop and maintain an accurate sales forecast for new business opportunities.
Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and progress towards targets.Market Awareness and Competitive Analysis : Stay informed about the competitive landscape, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of competitors in the South African cybersecurity market.
Identify market trends and emerging opportunities for new business.Networking and Industry Engagement : Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads.Adherence to Sales Processes : Follow established sales processes and utilize CRM effectively.New Business Acquisition (Hunting) : Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within the South African market through various methods including cold calling, networking, research, and leveraging industry contacts.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new accounts and market segments.
Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.Lead Qualification and Management : Qualify leads based on defined criteria, understanding their needs, budget, and decision- making process.
Effectively manage and nurture leads through the sales cycle.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and lead progress in the CRM system.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Information Technology, or a related field.MUST HAVE a Drivers License & Own reliable VehicleMust be South African Citizen with SA ID NumberMUST HAVE Sales experience in the Cyber Security (Non Negotiable - will be declined if you do not have cybersecurity sales exp.)Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in a direct sales "hunter" role, with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, common threats, and security solutions.Experience selling complex solutions and services, ideally within the technology or cybersecurity sector in the South African market.Excellent prospecting, lead generation, and qualification skills.Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.Proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with new prospects Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics ).
Strong organizational and time management skills.Existing network of contacts within the South African business community.Understanding of the South African business landscape and channel dynamic
