Assists in maintaining the physical structure and equipment of the facility, focusing on minor electrical maintenance, repairs, and other duties. Supports the Facilities Department with electrical, HVAC, and related maintenance tasks. Participates in performance improvement activities.

1. Performs all tasks professionally, reflecting the highest quality standards of the Facilities Department.
2. Maintains electrical systems, generators, and associated equipment for optimal operation.
3. Performs urgent, routine, and requisitioned repairs on electrical and mechanical systems as needed.
4. Performs installation of low and medium voltage electrical systems within project scope.
5. Conducts maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
6. Develops and executes electrical maintenance procedures in accordance with NFPA70 & NEC standards.
7. Ensures all physical structures and equipment comply with safety codes, including facility controls.
8. Assists in replacing, repairing, and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems.
9. Maintains detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs in log books and CMMS.
10. Oversees electrical, nurse call, and low voltage contractors, ensuring proper completion of work.
11. Performs inspections above ceilings to verify contractor work complies with NFPA standards.
12. Manages and organizes the stock room for assigned areas.
13. Performs manual tasks such as moving supplies, replacing bulbs, and removing waste materials.
14. Assists with basic snow removal when required.
15. Works independently with minimal supervision.
16. Develops knowledge of fire alarm and signal systems.
17. Utilizes and maintains tools and equipment safely.
18. Follows safety precautions and promotes a culture of safety and quality.
19. Researches parts, repair options, and develops repair plans, including cost analysis.
20. Participates in rotating on-call duties for troubleshooting after hours.
21. Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
22. Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and relevant code books for medical facilities.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of related experience and/or training in electrical work; or 6-10 years of experience if not in the medical electrical field.
• Valid Journeyman Electrical license; Master electrician license preferred.
