We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Hybrid Team Lead to join a dynamic and ambitious sales environment. This role is based in the Eastern Cape (covering the PE and EL regions), with a focus on both on-trade and off-trade channels.

- Location: Gqeberha / Eastern Cape
- Reporting to: National Sales Manager
- Type: Full-time | Field-based with hybrid elements

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Drive volume growth and market share in your region by leading a team and leveraging key distributor and trade relationships.
  2. Influence, coach, and motivate the sales force to implement strategic plans and exceed targets.
  3. Monitor performance indicators such as call adherence, time in trade, strike rate, and promotional implementation.
  4. Lead pricing, category management, and in-trade execution in alignment with brand strategy.
  5. Manage regional budgets, key accounts, merchandising, and customer data with precision and accountability.
  6. Negotiate pouring contracts and manage trade agreements effectively.
  7. Foster strong relationships internally and externally to deliver customer excellence.
  8. Coach and develop team members through route rides, trade visits, and performance management.

What You’ll Need:

  1. A 3-year tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing (or similar).
  2. Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
  3. Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a high-performance team.
  4. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. A passion for growing brands and building solid customer relationships.
  7. Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including some after-hours/weekend events.

Bonus Points For:

  1. Experience within the South African liquor or beverage sector.
  2. Existing customer networks in the Eastern Cape region.
