About the Role

As a Test Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our insurance systems and products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, logging and managing defects, and collaborating directly with developers to resolve issues quickly and effectively. The role requires accountability, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a demanding and fast‑paced environment. You will work within a dynamic, youthful, and collaborative team that values initiative, accountability, and continuous learning.

Our ideal candidate has
  • 3–5 years of Agile testing experience, writing and executing test cases, managing defects, and engaging with developers.
  • Proficient in Selenium, Browserstack, Jira, Postman, with solid SQL and API testing knowledge.
  • Accountable, responsible, strong personality, team player with leadership ambition.
  • Insurance experience beneficial but not essential.
Education (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 – National Certificate / Vocational.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or Information Technology.
Education (Ideal or Preferred)
  • National Diploma in Information Technology.
Knowledge and Experience - Minimum
  • Understand end‑to‑end processes to achieve successful testing.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to impact analysis when introducing software changes.
  • Understand the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Best practice / industry standard in software and hardware testing, reporting, tracking and follow‑up, and Software Quality Assurance (SQA).
  • 2–3 years’ experience in QA testing within a business context.
Knowledge and Experience - Ideal
  • Knowledge of Capitec’s Way of Work (WoW) during projects.
  • Experience in continuous delivery environment.
  • Application of test tools.
  • Test Automation.
  • Financial/Banking systems.
  • Reinforce stakeholders/feature team appropriate testing environments and timelines.
  • SQL query fundamentals.
