As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will act as the 'Cloud Ambassador' across all the cloud products, arming our customers with required tools & tactics to get the most out of their Product and Support investment.

  8. Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
  9. Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.

WHY AWS SUPPORT?
First and foremost, this is a customer support role - in The Cloud.

On a typical day, a Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for solving customer's cases through a variety of customer contact channels which include telephone, email, and web/live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.

Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  2. 1+ years of technical support, or 1+ years of software development experience
  3. Intermediate expertise in Machine Learning including but not limited to,
  4. Good Understanding of common Machine Learning algorithms such as Linear, Decision-Trees, Kmeans, etc.
  5. Experience with one or more Machine Learning Frameworks such as Tensorflow, Pytorch etc.
  6. Experience with training models, hyperparameter tuning, hosting and deployment of models
  7. Experience with data preparation techniques
  8. Experience with one of the programming/scripting languages (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP)
  9. Experience with System Administration with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows Server
  10. Experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field.
  2. Experienced with Linux system monitoring and analysis
  3. Good understanding of distributed computing environments
  4. Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)
  5. Prior working experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, Dynamo DB, EMR, Glue, Athena
  6. Exposure to security concepts / best practices
