Senior Accountant
Job summary
A financial consultancy in Stellenbosch is seeking a Financial Accountant. You will prepare management accounts, manage supplier invoicing, ensure VAT compliance, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register. The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience and is SAIPA registered. Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems is required, and experience in hospitality finance is a plus.
Qualifications
- SAIPA registered.
- Experience of at least 5 years in a similar Financial Accounting role.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
- Exposure to hospitality or retail finance environments is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage supplier invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate banking, payroll, and cash controls.
- Oversee stock control processes and support monthly stock takes.
- Handle customer invoicing and debtor management.
- Maintain and audit the Fixed Asset Register.
- Ensure VAT compliance and reconcile VAT returns.
- Contribute to audit readiness.

- Bonus: Exposure to hospitality or retail finance environments
- High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
