Based in Montague Gardens, our client is seeking a detail-oriented financial professional to manage the full finance function, from invoicing, budgeting, debtors and creditors, VAT, and financial reporting.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience working with Zoho Books (mandatory).
- 5+ years’ experience working within the accounting industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Experience in Zoho ecosystem integrations (Zoho Inventory, Zoho Expense, Zoho CRM, Zoho Analytics) highly desirable.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for additional analysis and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Zoho Flow).
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Takealot, etc.) and financial integrations.
- Prior experience in an import/distribution or retail environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Zoho Books Management.
- Daily processing of invoices and credit notes.
- Maintain and oversee all financial data in Zoho Books.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Automate workflows and improve reporting functions using Zoho Books and Zoho One apps (e.g., Zoho Inventory, Zoho Analytics).
- Manage bank feeds, expense tracking, and integration with other business systems.
- Accounting & Finance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle VAT, tax submissions, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor accounts receivable/payable and cash flow.
- Manage multi-currency accounting, exchange rate fluctuations, and reconciliations.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Generate accurate and timely management reports through Zoho Analytics/Zoho Books.
- Track KPIs such as revenue, expenses, profit margins, and financial health indicators.
- Provide insights to management on financial trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Audit & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare documentation for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
