Job summary
A dynamic HR consultancy is seeking an Industrial Relations Officer to manage employee relations and support compliance with South African labour legislation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling CCMA and Bargaining Council cases. Responsibilities include managing disciplinary processes, advising management on labour law, and representing the company in dispute resolution forums. Candidates with a degree or diploma in Human Resources and relevant experience will be prioritized.
Qualifications
- HR Qualification (Diploma or Degree in Human Resources / Labour Relations) is mandatory.
- Proven experience with CCMA and Bargaining Council cases is necessary.
- Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation is required.
- Experience in managing disciplinary hearings and grievances is essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, and misconduct investigations.
- Chair and prosecute disciplinary hearings and incapacity enquiries.
- Represent the company at CCMA, Bargaining Councils, and dispute resolution forums.
- Advise management on labour law, policies, and best practices.
- Assist with retrenchment consultations (Section 189 / 189A).
