WORLD-CHECK Data Manager Role:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW COLLEAGUE: Data Manager within our Risk Intelligence Data Management & Governance team to support our World-Check data offering.

YOU AND YOUR TEAM: As the hiring manager for this role, I look after the Data Management & Governance function for the World-Check and EDD data assets within LSEG Risk Intelligence.

SOME OF THE DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:

In this role you will be responsible for improving the value of World-Check data by:

• Owning the content enhancement process for World-Check by holding regular working group calls with KMT in Risk Content Ops (RCO) and Product to manage requests that improve the coverage, depth and structure of our data, based on feedback from our customers.
• Providing timely responses to customers on their requests with support and input from KMT and Product.
• Actively driving Data Governance activities as deputy Data Owner to ensure that World-Check complies with Group Data Policies, Operational Resilience, Records Management, and other related data governance standards.
• Identifying and defining new data related controls to ensure data consistency, availability, quality, completeness and timelines.
• Working closely with the World-Check Data Owner in Data Mgmt. and the Data Governance Officer for Risk Intelligence to define, execute on and communicate remediation plans for any data related risks.
• Collaborating with Product, the World-Check Data Steward and Content Integrity Team in RCO to define a Data Quality (DQ) Policy and DQ Management Process for World-Check.
• Working with other members of the Data Management team to use technical and analytics skills to perform wholistic reviews of World-Check data to ensure its Quality meets internal policies and KPIs as well as external standards.
• Collaborating your fellow WC Data Manager and RCO to define and implement a Data Quality Issue Management process and Data Quality Issue Tracker to ensure prompt prioritization by Product and estimation of fixes and improvements by Technology and RCO.
• Leading the production of client-facing data visualisations, metrics, analytics and statistics that improve customers' perception of our data, and also showcase the enhanced breadth, depth and quality of our offerings.
• Driving improvements in data driven decision-making for data enhancements and quality fixes by building out new MIS, Data visualisation and analytics capabilities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

In this role you will use a customer-centric approach to manage Data Enhancement requests, Data Governance and Data Quality. As a World-Check Data Manager, you will bring your attention to detail and knowledge of our data, research processes and guidelines to provide a second level of support for Data Quality assessments, testing and analytics. In addition, you will use your technical and analytical skills to query, manipulate, analyze and visualize data using PowerBI or similar BI capabilities to make sense of it. You will use your detail-oriented approach to find quality issues and provide metrics and insights that allow data driven prioritization decisions by Product.

Sound organizational and communication skills along with a collaborative mindset will be required to work cross-functionally, predominantly across Product, RCO and Data Governance. As a self-starter you will use your initiative, innovation and strong problem-solving skills to identify data risks, define and refine processes and controls to improve data quality and reliability. You will grow to understand the flow of World-Check data from its various sources, through editorial systems to our current and future products. With an inquisitive nature and interest in the field of Data Governance you will use strong stakeholder management skills as well as critical thinking to evaluate options, influence outcomes and drive recommendations that improve how World-Check data is managed. You will need to bring an open mind to learn new skills, build new relationships and focus to deliver on what is most important to our customers.

YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE COMPETITIVE WITH:

Not required, but advantageous:

• Knowledge of the World-Check One product
• The new World-Check On Demand (NG) record structure
• Name Screening, Payment Screening and how World-Check data is used by our end-user customers and Partners
• Familiarity with Data Governance concepts, and related tooling (Solidatus, Microsoft Purview etc.).
• Familiarity with Python, PowerBI, Postman, JSON file formats as well as relational databases such as MS SQL server and associated query languages.
