Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Manager Media Strategy in Johannesburg, South Africa will include:
- Lead and support a team of media planners and strategy managers, while also directly managing key client RFPs and strategic projects.
- Own the development and delivery of strategic media plans for global campaigns, drawing on market trends, audience data, and campaign performance insights.
- Act as a strategic partner to sales and client success teams – helping to shape proposals that align with client goals, and representing the media strategy function in pre-sale client meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Analyze market dynamics and campaign performance to guide ongoing strategy and identify future opportunities.
- Enrich proposals and reports with competitive intelligence, audience segmentation, and content recommendations to strengthen business cases.
- Work closely with operations leadership to enable the successful rollout and commercialization of new and existing products.
Requirements for this Senior Manager Media Strategy job in Johannesburg, South Africa:
- 5–7 years of experience in demand generation, digital strategy, or media planning, ideally within the B2B marketing space.
- Strong understanding of the B2B landscape, including lead generation, content syndication, programmatic display, and integrated media campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage multiple RFPs and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data and trends into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate marketing strategy and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
- Experience working with a partner network is a plus.
