Armature Test Technician / Foreman
Job summary
A recruitment agency seeks an experienced Armature Test Technician with Foreman/Supervisor experience for permanent employment in Newcastle, KZN. The ideal candidate will manage the workshop, possess extensive knowledge in armature winding, and have strong people skills. A minimum of 20 years of industry experience and a Red Seal Trade Test are required. Salary is R50,000 – R60,000 kpm plus benefits, negotiable.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years experience in an Armature environment.
- Foreman/Supervisory experience required.
- Drivers licence is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete workshop, stores, and planning dept.
- Monitor and control all workshop processing in conjunction with Quality Control.
- Liaising with customers.

Education
An opportunity for an experienced Armature Test Technician (with Foreman / Supervisor experience) is available for permanent employment based in Northern KZN.
Salary: TCTC R50 000 – R60 000 kpm (+ benefits) negotiable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage complete workshop, stores, and planning dept.
- Have knowledge of Armature Winding and Mechanical experience
- Have knowledge of test bay for AC and DC motors
- Have knowledge of test bay for assessing motors
- Monitor and control all workshop processing in conjunction with Quality Control
- Knowledge of costing
- Flame proof experience will be advantageous.
- Warranty assessment and inspection
- Liaising with customers
Requirements:
- Red Seal : Trade Test (Armature Winder) Technician
- Minimum 20 years experience (Senior role)
- Armature environment Foreman / Supervisory experience required
- MS Office Computer literate
- Drivers licence
- People skills
- Traceable / Contactable references
