As part of the Student Care Team within the Nanyang Business School Undergraduate Programmes Office, this role plays a vital function in supporting the holistic wellbeing of NBS students. The position contributes to our mission of building a caring, inclusive, and resilient student community through early detection and intervention, tailored support, and wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Case Management
Provide first-line psychosocial and pastoral support to students facing mental health, academic, or personal challenges
Triage student cases based on severity, urgency, and type of need
Collaborate closely with university partners to ensure coordinated, student-centered care
Manage referrals related to special education needs (SEN), leave of absence, and other wellbeing-related processes
Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in compliance with university and ethical guidelines
Update and maintain student support databases and prepare periodic reports for management review
Track trends in student support needs and recommend interventions to enhance the overall student experience
Wellbeing Programmes & Outreach
Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of wellbeing events, campaigns, and engagement activities to promote mental health awareness, peer support, and personal development
Partner with faculty, student leaders, and other stakeholders to co-create inclusive wellness initiatives that build a strong sense of community
Develop and curate wellbeing resources and communication materials
The incumbent will support the Assistant Director (Student Life) to provide holistic care and support at Nanyang Business School.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the education sector
Prior experience in a student care or student support role in an institution of higher learning will be advantageous
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-motivated, resourceful, and flexible in adjusting and responding to changing priorities
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; demonstrating personal initiative and team spirit in the effective implementation of projects
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, multitask, and deliver quality outcomes within tight timelines
Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities
Organized and meticulous, with an eye for detail
IT- and social media-savvy, with good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in counselling and/or social work will be advantageous
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Canva will be advantageous
