Shark Ninja is expanding its APAC business and to scale it rapidly. It’s two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growths in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in its existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing it’s APAC business. Within the overall APAC plan, Singapore & Malaysia plays a critical role. We have taken over this markets from our distributors, so that we can run them directly and drive strong growth, behind new innovation and investments.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Marketing Director to lead our SGMY team. This role will be based in Singapore.

The Marketing Director is responsible for delivering top and bottom-line business goals and results as well as ensuring go-to-market executional excellence, including products, in-store visibility, and retail experience that develop an innovative and industry-leading consumer journey in retail channel cross the cluster. This includes:
- Drive local relevancy for a high-growth strategy, brand equity, lead the delivery of insights that contribute to breakthrough product and service innovation, customer experience, communication, P&L and cost efficiency.
- Shape the brands’ strategies and plans, & create brand equity in local markets, ensure local relevancy and speed to market that drives growth and own executional excellence.
- Identify regional, local and cultural differences to tailor global brands’ programs to local consumers and help global brand team to anticipate future consumer trends by having a deep understanding of consumers, competition, market trends, regional and local insights, and emerging opportunities.
- Spearhead strategies to support a wide portfolio of businesses and develop innovative and creative means to serve differentiated markets ranging from direct to indirect customers depending on the products offered in each business unit.
- Develop and implement vision for in-store retail consumer experience to drive conversion, productivity, innovative digital in-store experiences and education.
- Lead and develop overall marketing capabilities and build strong collaboration and alignment with external and internal key stakeholders (clients, local, cluster and regional cross functional team) to ensure brand strategy aligns with overall vision and business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction in overall planning, administering, and managing day to day activities and internal commercial processes.
- Digital first mindset- drive this through the organization
- Lead impeccable consumer experiences for all channels.
- Implement the omni-channel strategy and develop necessary capabilities.
- Maximize in-store consumer engagement by providing multiple, locally relevant solutions for in-store opportunities in each channel.
- Identify, build, and develop essential capabilities to deliver results while remaining agile.
- Possess media planning & buying experience and expertise, proven record of partnering with marketing agencies.
- Possess portfolio management experience- ownership & management of product assortment & product strategy.
Required attributes & skills:
- 12-15 years in similar industry
- Strong digital knowledge with proven ability to combine traditional marketing with social media.
- Entrepreneurial and inspiring leadership style with a drive for business results
- Commercially and financially astute with sound business judgement
- Solid knowledge in retail excellence and retail operations
- Energetic, engaging and positive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work comfortably and lead change in a complex matrix organization.
- Able to recruit, grow and develop people, driving hearts and minds, accountability and direction.
- A self–starter, both assertive and decisive, and yet flexible around change. Prepared to see through plans and overcome objections and respond and adapt to a demanding and dynamic environment.

- Flexibility to travel when required.
