A leading purchasing firm in Singapore is seeking a Purchasing Manager to develop and implement purchasing strategies, manage daily purchasing activities, and negotiate supplier contracts. The ideal candidate has strong experience in inventory management, effective communication skills, and the ability to lead a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software is essential. This role is critical for ensuring quality standards and optimizing purchasing processes.
Qualifications
- Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Supervisory and management experience.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
Skills
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.

- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.

- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
- Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
