Introduction

As a Senior Managing Consultant - SAP Logistics (PM, MM), you will lead the solutioning, design, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Logistics transformations, with a focus on Plant Maintenance (PM) and Materials Management (MM) modules. You will also play a strategic role in pre-sales and business development activities, crafting tailored solutions that align with client goals and contribute to overall practice growth. This role includes a key focus on supporting clients across both the mid-market and enterprise segments through GROW with SAP and RISE with SAP, enabling them to adopt scalable, cloud-enabled, and future-ready logistics solutions.

Your role and responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design:

  • Engage with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to understand client requirements and architect SAP Logistics solutions that demonstrate the value of SAP S/4HANA (Cloud & On-Premise), including both RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP offerings

  • Lead high-level architecture and solutioning discussions with clients and internal teams, aligning SAP functionalities with business and operational objectives.

  • Tailor SAP proposals based on customer segment:

  • GROW with SAP - Fit-to-standard, rapid deployment for mid-market clients using SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

  • RISE with SAP - Comprehensive transformation journeys for enterprise clients with private cloud or on-premise flexibility.

  • Develop and deliver compelling client presentations, demos, and proposals that clearly articulate the business benefits and technical fit of SAP Logistics solutions.

  • Provide strategic input to RFPs/RFIs, helping shape win themes, technical differentiators, and implementation strategies.

  • Collaborate across functional teams to estimate effort, define scope, and identify risks during the pre-sales cycle.

Implementation Leadership:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAP PM and MM implementations within SAP S/4HANA across both Cloud (Public/Private) and On-Premise deployments.

  • Drive Fit-to-Standard delivery for GROW with SAP engagements, ensuring standardized, rapid deployment aligned with SAP best practices.

  • Oversee enterprise transformation under RISE with SAP, tailoring solutions that combine best practices with required customizations and integrations

  • Translate complex business requirements into system configurations and design specifications, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, prepare blueprint documentation, and translate business needs into technical specifications for any custom developments

  • Drive solution integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, EWM), ensuring a seamless enterprise-wide implementation.

  • Oversee and mentor project teams, promoting knowledge sharing, skill development, and adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards.

  • Conduct hands-on configuration in PM and MM as needed, particularly during critical project phases.

  • Develop comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, UAT) and ensure issue resolution and quality assurance.

  • Lead change management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, user training, and post-go-live support to ensure adoption and long-term value realization.

Practice Development & Thought Leadership:

  • Contribute to the development of accelerators, templates, and methodologies to support SAP GROW and RISE delivery models.

  • Serve as a thought leader in SAP PM and MM, contributing to white papers, webinars, and client education initiatives.

  • Mentor junior consultants and actively participate in talent development and knowledge management activities within the practice.

  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA advancements, GROW and RISE advancements, roadmap developments, and emerging industry trends relevant to logistics and asset management.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 15+ years of experience in SAP Logistics, with deep expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Materials Management (MM).

  • Proven track record of leading SAP S/4HANA implementations in both Cloud (Public/Private) and On-Premise environments.

  • Experience delivering projects under both RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP framework

  • Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and pre-sales engagements.

  • Strong understanding of logistics processes in industries such as manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or asset-intensive sectors.

  • Strong pre-sales capabilities, including client workshops, demos, and proposal creation

  • Expertise in Fit-to-Standard, Agile/Activate methodologies, and integration with adjacent SAP modules

  • Excellent communication, client engagement, and presentation skills.

  • Experience in project and team leadership, with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions on time and within budget.

  • SAP S/4HANA certification in PM or MM (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
