A leading supply chain company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage supply chain planning, procurement, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of relevant experience, particularly in international sourcing and supplier management. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to ensure compliance with regulations. This role will provide opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and collaboration with various teams.
1. Supply Chain Planning
Plan material requirements based on project schedules and forecasts.
Manage long-lead items and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate closely with engineering and project teams on technical specifications.
2. Global Procurement & Supplier Management
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with international suppliers for mechanical, electrical, control systems, and automation components.
Conduct RFQ, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and PO issuance.
Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure quality standards.
3. Logistics & Shipping Management skill / Cross-Border Operations
Handle import/export processes, freight booking, and shipment tracking.
Ensure accurate documentation.
Work with freight forwarders to optimise shipping cost and delivery time.
Coordinate movement of materials between Singapore and Johor plant.
Visit Johor plant for production follow-up.
Ensure compliance with Malaysia customs and logistics procedures.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
Understand basic Malaysia regulations related to procurement and logistics (import/export rules, customs processes, MITI where applicable).
Ensure all documentation and shipments comply with Singapore and Malaysia laws.
Maintain audit-ready procurement and logistics records.
5. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
Work with warehouse teams in Johor to ensure accurate stock levels.
6. Reporting & Internal Collaboration
Provide regular updates on procurement status, logistics risks, and shipment progress.
Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Production teams.
Maintain accurate data for POs, inventory, and delivery schedules.
7. Continuous Improvement
Enhance supply chain processes, lead time management, and logistics efficiency.
Identify cost-saving opportunities in purchasing and transportation.
Expand supplier base and improve supply reliability.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• 5–10 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles.
• Experience in engineering, automation, material handling, or BHS industry preferred.
• Strong experience in global sourcing and overseas supplier management.
• Strong logistics knowledge: Incoterms, import/export, customs, global shipping.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings/specifications.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
