A local café in Singapore is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to create high-quality desserts. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should be confident working independently, have a love for pastry and baking, and be committed to delivering high-quality, freshly baked desserts that meet our café’s standards.
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, cakes, tarts, cookies, and other pastries according to our recipes and quality expectations
- Maintain consistency and high standards in daily production
- Organize and manage daily pastry operations, including mise en place and oven timing
- Monitor inventory of baking supplies and coordinate with the team on stock needs
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry section at all times
- Work closely with the café team to plan production around daily demand and special occasions
- Contribute new ideas for seasonal items or improvements, when relevant
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pastry and baking
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Passion for desserts and a genuine love for baking
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
