Job summary
A leading café company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Barista. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of coffee beverages, maintaining cleanliness of the coffee bar, and ensuring excellent customer service. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of coffee culture, multitasking skills, and the ability to operate espresso machines. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and engage with guests to enhance their café experience.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in coffee and café culture.
- Comfortable operating espresso machines.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coffee bar.
- Engage warmly with guests and ensure a positive experience.
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies when necessary.
- Support team members during busy periods.
- Participate in opening and closing duties.
- Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with standards.

- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based and non-coffee beverages to high standards
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the coffee bar and equipment throughout the day
- Engage warmly with guests, offering recommendations and ensuring a positive experience
- Monitor inventory of beans, milk, and supplies, and restock when necessary
- Support team members during busy periods, including basic cashiering or service help
- Participate in opening and closing duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Oversee daily store and shift operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, product quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage store opening and closing, safeguard assets, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Support inventory control through stock estimation, usage tracking, and waste reduction.
- Maintain product quality, visual display, and merchandising standards.
- Assist in organizing and executing in-store events and stay informed about customer demographics and local market trends.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members to ensure consistent service and operational excellence.
- Strong interest in coffee and café culture, with a good understanding of espresso fundamentals
- Comfortable operating manual and semi-automatic espresso machines
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Friendly and service-driven, with clear communication skills
